Lecture by Erin Gruwell of the Freedom Writers.
Erin Gruwell is an American teacher known for her unique teaching method, which led to the publication of The Freedom Writers Diary. Her students, who called themselves the "Freedom Writers," recorded their thoughts and feelings in diaries, and their story is an unforgettable example of how hard work, courage, and determination can change lives. Erin Gruwell is also the founder of the Freedom Writers Foundation, and she transformed her students’ lives by fostering an educational philosophy that values and promotes diversity.
