Vision

The Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center supports student growth and success through student-centered interactions that empower all students to be proactive and engaged learners.

Mission

The Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center positively impacts student success, retention and graduation by prioritizing access, promoting engaged learning and providing innovative approaches to foster academic and personal development.

Student Learning Outcomes

We measure student learning through a comprehensive assessment plan that includes center-wide Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). Wintrode Center SLO鈥檚 are based on CAS Standards and SDSU鈥檚 Co-curricular Assessment Domains. Assessment results are used to determine effectiveness and to inform program modifications and enhancements.

Strategic Plan - Pathway to Premier

The Wintrode Center鈥檚 strategic goals align with institutional goals and priorities identified in Pathway to Premier 2030 (2023-2030). Strategic goals will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that Wintrode Center programs are meeting the ever-changing needs of SDSU students.

Goal: Achieve Excellence Through Transformative Education

  • Objective 1: Access: Increase visibility of and access to Wintrode Center programs and services.
  • Objective 2: Sense of Belonging: Create a welcoming and safe environment for all students.
  • Objective 3: Self-efficacy: Identify new or increase use of current activities to enhance self-efficacy.

Goal: Cultivate and Strengthen Community Engagement

  • Objective: Expand support to Wizipan Certificate students, faculty and staff.

Goal: Foster Innovation and Increase Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity

  • Objective: Engage SDSU students with research projects or scholarly presentations.

Goal: Be a Growing, High-Performing and Healthy University

  • Objective: Allocate financial resources for five staff members each year to participate in national conferences.
