Professional Academic Advisors
As an SDSU student, you are assigned to an academic advisor who can help you plan your degree and meet your needs related to your college experience. Many undergraduate students are assigned to professional academic advisors who provide holistic guidance and support as you pursue your academic goals. You will meet with your advisor at least once each semester and are encouraged to ask questions about your academic program, discuss professional and personal goals, and request support with academic and personal challenges.
To find your advisor鈥檚 name and contact information, login to MyState and view your profile. Your advisor鈥檚 name will be listed under your major with a link to their email address.
If you don鈥檛 have an advisor listed, you can seek help through the following advising offices based on your year in college, location, and academic program. If you are not sure who to contact, start with the First Year Advising Center.
