Biography

Angela Loftesness is a professional staff member serving as assistant to the dean in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. A native of Alexandria, Minnesota and beneficiary of land-grant university outreach, she earned both her Bachelor of Science in agricultural education and animal science and her Master of Science in animal breeding and genetics from 葫芦影业. She spent four and a half years conducting molecular genetics, epigenetics and immunology research for a biotech company developing a platform for human pharmaceutical production from genetically designed cattle in Sioux Falls. She then returned to SDSU to begin work in her current role, where she is involved in several aspects of the administration of the college covering the three mission areas of education, research and outreach. She also represents the college as member of the SDSU HR Group and is chair of the SDSU Eminent Leaders in Agriculture, Family and Community Program.
