Biography
Kassi Erickson, EdD, MLS(ASCP)CM PBT | Clinical Assistant Professor | Medical Laboratory Science
Kassi Erickson joined the Medical Laboratory Science Program in February 2019. She is a graduate of 葫芦影业 with a B.S. in microbiology. After graduating from SDSU, Kassi completed Sanford USD Medical Center鈥檚 Medical Laboratory Science program and has been a board-certified medical laboratory scientist since 2013. In 2018, Kassi received her M.S. in MLS from the University of North Dakota. Kassi worked as a medical laboratory scientist at the Brookings Health System before to moving into education. Prior to joining the MLS program at SDSU, she was an instructor for the Medical Laboratory Technician Program at Lake Area Technical College. She earned her Doctorate in Education and Leadership in Healthcare (Ed.D.) from Nebraska Methodist College in July 2023.
Kassi currently teaches courses in the MLS and phlebotomy certificate programs, including hematology, phlebotomy and laboratory safety, as well as an introduction to medical laboratory science course. She is also the MLS Club faculty advisor.
