Biography
Shola Aromona (Ph.D., University of Kansas) is an assistant professor of communication and media studies. Her research is at the intersection of political communication, social media, digital, media and information literacy and gender. She earned a Ph.D. in journalism and mass communications from the University of Kansas. She is currently studying social media discourse in electoral contexts in emerging democracies as well as factors influencing how underserved populations consume, engage and evaluate information on social media.
