Assistive Technologies

Technology can be a great tool to assist students with disabilities through the use of assistive technologies such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, voice recording and notetaking software. There are several educational support tools available through different operating systems and free applications for mobile devices. While this list does not cover everything, it provides a good starting point for those interested in learning more about these assistive technologies. 


Speech-to Text Videos

Allows spoken words to be converted automatically into written text. 


Text-to-Speech Videos

Allows written text to be converted into spoken language. 


Video Recording Apps

Allows spoken text to be recorded and replayed.
