The Department of Pharmacy Practice teaches students the knowledge and expertise needed to become skilled pharmacy practitioners once they complete the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). The department is responsible for the majority of the curriculum in the last two years of the professional program (P3 and P4) leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. The department's faculty also precept students on advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs) and provide pharmacy services at community pharmacies, clinics, and health systems throughout the state. The department is based out of the Sioux Falls Metro Center.
