Our goal with the CPETE New Faculty Onboarding Program is to provide you a comprehensive set of resources, located in a central on-demand location, that can easily be referred to as you begin your career at SDSU or as questions arise later in your career as a Jackrabbit. Faculty Onboarding Checklist
In order to help you navigate the start of your career at 葫芦影业 the SDSU Faculty and Extension Personnel Professional Development Committee, supported by the Center for Professional Enrichment and Teaching Excellence, has developed a comprehensive 鈥淔aculty Onboarding Checklist鈥. This checklist should be reviewed and discussed with your department head periodically during your first year at SDSU to ensure a successful transition to the university.
Academic Affairs
With over 180 undergraduate areas of study and 50 graduate programs, SDState offers a diverse academic portfolio of majors, minors and specializations. Seven degree-granting colleges paired with the Graduate School and the Van D. and Barbra B. Fishback Honors College provide students with a primer academic experience.
Academic offerings also include online programs, study abroad opportunities and a robust international affairs office.

Office of SDSU General Counsel
The 葫芦影业 Office of General Counsel coordinates and provides efficient and effective legal and other related services to the University President, faculty, and staff on matters that involve or affect the University - all while fostering an environment of inclusion and access.
First Amendment Training provides perspective and tips on supporting the intellectual diversity of SDSU students, faculty, and staff.
Information Technology
Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides the technology, skills, and services that contribute to and support the mission of University. OIT is committed to creating an environment in which faculty and students will have opportunities to be successful in their scholarship, research, and creative activities. In addition, OIT actively promotes the incorporation of technology as a means of effectively and efficiently conducting University business.

Instructional Design Services
IDS serves the SDSU community and fulfills many roles throughout the decades of its operation. Firm commitment to support, development and service has driven IDS to follow a vision. This desire for excellence leads to innovation and leadership. The goal of IDS is to support the instructional, research, institutional and service missions of the university.

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) leads institutional level assessment efforts. Institutional level assessment is conducted for internal improvement or to meet external accountability demands.

Hilton M. Briggs Library
Home to Open Prairie, Archives and Special Collections and a host of other resources, the staff at Briggs is ready to help faculty, staff and students find reaching and resource needs.

Wintrode Student Success Center
The Wintrode Student Success Center positively impacts student success, retention and graduation by promoting engaged learning and providing innovative approaches to foster academic and personal development.
SDSU Testing Center
The Testing Center provides high quality, comprehensive testing services to students, faculty and units across the campus by: (1) proctoring special accommodation tests for students with disabilities; (2) scanning tests for SDSU courses; (3) administering nationally normed tests (GRE, LSAT, ACT, CLEP); (4) administering tests for professional certification; (5) proctoring non-SDSU course tests; (6) transcripting Prior Learning Credit (AP, CLEP, Challenge by Portfolio and Challenge by Exam); (7) administering placement tests; and (8) administering proficiency exams. We are committed to ensuring student safety, security of test materials and confidentiality of any personal information shared or provided to the staff.

Division of Research and Economic Development
The Division of Research and Economic Development is responsible for pre-award services related to proposals and contracts. These functions include serving as the institution's official business office for submission of proposals to federal agencies and external organizations that fund sponsored programs. We are also responsible for ensuring that the university is in compliance with federal and state regulations related to research, commercialization and management of intellectual property and university-wide environmental health and safety. Additionally, we coordinate SDSU's priorities with the South Dakota Congressional delegation and federal agencies as well development of collaborations with private industry.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning - Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is the systematic inquiry of teaching and learning where results are critically reviewed and made public. The SDSU Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning provides comprehensive support to all faculty members interested in pursuing SoTL research.

Office of Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services recognizes that disability is an aspect of diversity that is integral to society and to the University community. To this end, the ODS collaborates with students, faculty and staff across the University community to create usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable learning environments. The ODS adheres to the mandates of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended in 2008, to ensure that people with disabilities have equal access to the programs and activities of the university. The population served through the ODS is students.
SDSU Veterans Affairs Office
The mission of 葫芦影业 Veterans Affairs Office is to assist military veterans, their family members and their survivors, in obtaining all federal and state educational benefits and entitlements they have earned by serving in the United States military and to provide guidance and support services that will aid veterans in their transition to academic and civilian life.
American Indian Student Center
The American Indian Student Center is committed to providing a welcome home-place to support those who have courageously chosen to walk the path of higher education. The AISC understand that a vital part of our function involves nation building and works to encourage students to recognize and develop their voice and help prepare Native students to respond to the call to return home.

Student Health Clinic and Counseling Services are located in the Wellness Center at 葫芦影业. We specialize in college health. We offer high-quality primary care services. We understand today's college students and are committed to assisting with your healthcare needs.
Wokini at SDSU
The Wokini Initiative is SDSU鈥檚 collaborative and holistic framework to support American Indian student success and Indigenous Nation-building. Ongoing collaboration between key campus and tribal stakeholders is central to the Wokini framework. The Initiative builds upon SDSU鈥檚 current tribal partnerships and American Indian Student Center services to 1) enhance cultural programming and support for American Indian students, 2) offer Wokini scholarships for citizens of the nine tribal nations in South Dakota and 3) enhance research and outreach partnerships with tribes, tribal colleges and other tribal organizations.
SDSU Behavioral Intervention Team
The 葫芦影业 Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) seeks to identify those who are or may be at risk of harm to self or others. The early identification is crucial to the mitigation of risk.
This team is comprised of representatives of the Counseling Center, Dean of Students Office, Residence Life and Housing, the Office of Safety and Security, Police Department, Academics, Athletics and Human Resources.
