How to Log In and Edit Profile

Edit your SDSU Directory Profile

  1. Log in via "My Account" (located under "For Faculty & Staff" section) at the bottom of the homepage.
  2. Navigate to your profile page by clicking on your name in the top black Toolbar (i.e. Jack.Rabbit) and then select "View account".
  3. Once on your account page, find your profile under "Your Content" section and then click the 鈥(Edit)鈥 button next to your name.
  4. Editing profile fields
    • Name, department, title, location and contact information are pulled from Banner. To edit this information, click the "Edit Contact Information on InsideState" button. This is updated automatically in an overnight feed.
    • Title field: The title field can be overwritten in Drupal. If your Banner Title is not displaying the same as it is on InsideState, please contact web support.
    • Biographical, work, social media, related links and research information is self-entered. Enter basic biographical information in the Short Biography block. Enter your education summary in the Education block. Click on the carrot proceeding Academic Experience/Activities, Extension, Professional Experience/Activities or Research to open and add information to an area.
    • Photos: Employee photos for the website need to be professionally done. A portrait studio is available on campus.
  5. Saving the page: From dropdown next to "Change to:" choose one of the following statuses:
    • Ready to Review: If it is ready to be published.
    • In Progress: If you want to hold on publishing changes or are still editing.

Important Considerations

  • If you choose to include a portfolio or website within your profile, be sure to include http:// or https:// at the start of url e.g: .
  • Contact information updates (mentioned in #5 above) can take anywhere from one to two business days.
