Chemistry (M.S.) - Chemistry Education Specialization

Chemistry inspired learning.

Educating children and young adults means creating productive classroom spaces for scientific understanding and discovery. The M.S. in chemistry - chemistry education specialization provides accessible graduate level coursework to enhance chemistry content knowledge and to enable more substantial and effective learning in secondary education classrooms. Designed for in-service science teachers with a valid teacher鈥檚 license, this program provides graduate level credits to fulfill the M.S. degree requirements. Most of those credits are offered online for distance-learning. An intensive two-week hands-on research experience at the SDSU campus in Brookings completes the degree requirements. This is a summer program (i.e., two consecutive summers) and the majority of the program is online, minimizing disruption to your schedule.
